Moises was the keynote speaker at the conference for Latino high school students from Alamance, Forsyth and Guilford counties. Soy un lider means “I am a leader.” Moises also led workshops on building confidence in preparation for college.

Moises and other El Cambio members spoke to BB&T staff and community members about Deferred Action and the psychological, emotional and physical trauma that the undocumented community is subjected to through racism, xenophobia and harsh immigration laws. Now BB&T is the first American Bank to openly welcome DACA-mented individuals in an effort to help them secure their financial future!

One of Forbidden's partner organizations, FaithAction International House will be holding their Annual Downtown Unity Walk - Loving Our Neighbors as Ourselves - on Saturday, May 3rd! Participants will gather at FaithAction at 4:30 p.m., and walk throughout downtown Greensboro. The walk will include diverse artistic performances, as well as an interfaith vigil for immigration reform!
